“Kusanats Anapat” Monastic Complex

Date of construction: 13-19 cc

Location: Avetaranots village (former Chanakhchi)/ Askeran

Description/ Archaeological and Artistic Information:

The monastery is fenced; some parts of the enclosures have survived, including one semicircular viewing platform. The church was built in 1616; the narthex dates back to the same period. In the territory of the monument, there are two khachkars of the 17th century, three khachkars of 10-11 centuries, three tombstones of the 12-13 centuries, and six gravestones of the  15-16 centuries.
